WHOLE HEALTH HERBAL CONSULTATIONS
As a clinical herbalist, I address the root of a problem, helping you to be in touch with yourself and listen to your body. During this process, you have an opportunity to take control of your health, perhaps for the first time.
After assessing your unique history , I will talk about herbs that are relevant for your needs, as well as diet, exercise, stress management, supplements, homeopathy, bodywork, and lifestyle changes that might be helpful to you. Your plan is tailored specifically to you. I want to hear your story and help you unearth what led you to this place and how we can begin your healing journey.
My primary role is as an educator and partner, encouraging and supporting your goals for improved health and well-being. Prior to your first session, you will be asked to provide in-depth health history information, including a food journal. After you schedule your consultation you will receive a welcome email with all of the necessary forms, generally within one business day of scheduling. Please return the completed paperwork at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This gives me time to review it and prepare.
Your first visit is a comprehensive consultation that will take approximately 1-1/2 hours to complete. We will discuss your current health concerns, health history, and goals, then examine all factors which play a role in wellness: your mental and emotional health, nutrition and hydration, movement, quantity and quality of sleep, stress and resilience, relationships and community, and more.
After the consultation, you will receive a plan of action, including lifestyle recommendations (pertaining to nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress reduction, etc.), an herbal formula and/or nutritional supplements (when applicable), plus recommendations for ongoing support and follow-up. Additional therapies or referrals to other practitioners may also be suggested.

TEACHING
I feel that sharing knowledge and experience is an important part of being an herbalist. I have been fortunate to have had many inspired young men and women who have been under my mentorship, many of which have gone on for formal herbal education as well as naturopathy degrees. My teaching style is intimate, practical and anecdotal, bringing over 30 years of experience to the “class room.” Teaching can be in the form of a personalized wellness consultation or in a formal class, herb walk, or workshop. I have taught for various organizations and can offer short, single classes, a class series or workshop for your school/business/organization. Contact me for more information.
