A Blank Slate to Fertile Ground

And the power of the eclipse

The dross of the winter left my garden with the remnants of last season. A patchwork of leaves ,stems, stumps and seed. Slowly the soil will warm and little seeds will sprout. First the dill seeds that opportunistically spread themselves willy nilly across my gardening and the fennel that no mater how many years off trying to tame still manage to sink their long tap roots into wherever opportunity arises.

This period, the betwixt between wintery days and springs warming, gives way to a blank slate. The would be artist in me sees this unkept mess as a gate way to delicious veggies, herbs, flowers, an abundance of worms and swarms of bees

I cant’ tell you how many times i have leapt with enthusiasm to get a leg up on my garden, planted seeds and waited and waited for the seeds to sprout, sometimes even replanting seed because i didn’t trust in the process...the soil need to warm the sun needs to shine and the seeds need water. Even when the seed packets give the guide lines for gemination it still takes faith.

So often in my life, i have stood on the thresh hold of inspiration, change and potential while blinded by what may have looked like stepping into the unknown a dark mess. Though the pull for change has been strong and the wisdom in me has said time to leap, i have dug in my heals and resisted even knowing its time.

What does any of this have to do with astrology? We have entered into eclipse season ,the eclipse season that was initialed 6months ago in mid October is coming around again for another iteration, asking us to let go and make change. This is a time to release. For many, relationships that are not in alignment with our highest good are let go of or transformed. Some people may find they are leaving jobs, neighborhoods, making a big move, saying good by to a way of life that has not fed them. The wheels of change were put into motion in October and now we have 2 more eclipse coming back to back constellating change.

Just like the seeds that cannot be rushed so to the change that occurs during an eclipse often is not easily mapped out. Literally, we can not see, the sun is eclipsed by the moon or the moon is eclipsed by the sun. Though we can not see the magnitude and the momentum, an eclipse will take us somewhere we did not expect, but the outcome in retrospect will be seen as a necessity.

How the eclipse specifically pertains to you is specific to your birth chart and the houses that are activated. These eclipse are on a Libra Aries with Libra being a planet of balance harmony, relating and beauty, ruled by Venus and Aries ruled by Mars, self directed, assertive and severing, passionate these are the themes at this time. My needs vs the need of the other. Personal initiation and group dynamics, power and force over receptivity and softness. Not good nor not bad, just energetic dynamics that play out in our individual lives.

So hang tight listen to the wings of change and know that there is a plan that will be understood as you reflect back... the big give away is this is a time to plant seeds, trust and allow them to grow.
